Nurse-Family Partnership
Do you know a nurse who is the epitome of caring? Do you know a team that always goes the extra mile? Is there an administrator, program manager or supervisor that has supported the NFP team through thick and thin? If someone comes to mind when you hear these questions – take a minute to nominate that individual or team for the Tenacious Caregiver Award!
Nurses requested we expand the scope of this award and we’ve done just that. Nurses, supervisors, administrators/program managers and teams can all be nominated. There are now four big opportunities to recognize your peers and thank them for jobs well done.
Not only has the scope of the award increased – the presentation of the award will be spectacular! All four Tenacious Caregiver awards will be presented at the 2019 National Symposium in Nashville, Tennessee in September! One NFP Nurse, one Nurse Supervisor, and one Administrator/Program Manager will receive an all-expense paid trip to Nashville to be honored amongst their peers. The winning network partner will be able to choose two members who receive an all-expense paid trip to Nashville to represent their team. This gives an opportunity for the agency to choose team members who may not otherwise be able to attend.
Don’t delay – spread the news! Nominations are open!
Contact the team to receive details on how to submit your nomination today!
The deadline for submitting nominations is June 15, 2019.

2018 tenacious caregiver award winner
We received inspiring and compelling stories and were honored to present the inaugural award to Cheryl Spicer, NFP Nurse at Sadler Health Center Nurse-Family Partnership in Carlisle, PA.
Cheryl not only consistently carries a full caseload and has been a nurse home visitor for eleven years, but she hosted numerous nursing students for one-day shadowing experiences and even mentored one of them for 120 hours. She has completed over 4,000 home visits, over 5,000 hours of face to face time with Nurse-Family Partnership moms and 26,000 lonely miles driving to and from home visits. She is compassionate and empowering, and epitomizes the Nurse-Family Partnership mission in more ways that we can articulate. Congratulations and THANK YOU for all you do for our families!
